Pre-owned forklift options in all of Paraguay

When to invest in a pre-owned forklift

Pre-owned forklift machinery offers an immediate, cost-effective solution for facilities seeking lifting capacity without purchasing new units. For logistics hubs, manufacturing plants, and river port terminals in all of Paraguay, pre-owned equipment ensures operational readiness while preserving working capital.

Acquiring pre-owned units is ideal for fleet expansion, seasonal peaks, and backup operations. In demanding cargo environments, an inspected lift truck delivers dependable performance for container loading, cross-docking, and pallet handling.

How to select the right material handling equipment

Selecting the right machine requires assessing load profiles, operating hours, and warehouse dimensions. Operational requirements vary across facilities in all of Paraguay, where tight indoor aisles need compact maneuverability and outdoor yards require robust stability.

Key selection criteria include:

Capacity: ELEVA sells forklifts and pallet trucks up to 7 tons. For loads from 10 to 46 tons, rental contracts provide heavy forklifts and port equipment.
Powertrain: Choose between electric efficiency and combustion power based on ventilation and shift demands.
Condition: Verify mast alignment, hydraulic integrity, and full mechanical inspection before acquisition.
Acquisition model: Match direct purchase of smaller units or long-term rental of heavy machinery to your capital strategy.

How much is LPG costing your operation?

Many fleet managers evaluate combustion forklifts only by upfront purchase cost, overlooking ongoing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) expenses. Calculating total cost of ownership per operating hour reveals true operational expenditure.

LPG costs consist of multiple continuous factors:

Hourly consumption: Fuel burn rate under loaded driving cycles across working shifts.
Cylinder management: Purchasing, transporting, and storing pressurized gas containers.
Downtime during replacement: Productive handling hours lost while drivers stop to change empty cylinders.
Facility ventilation: Airflow systems required to clear combustion exhaust from indoor work areas.
Storage compliance: Dedicated outdoor safety containment for flammable pressurized canisters.

To determine your expenses, track monthly cylinder consumption, labor lost to swaps, and ventilation maintenance. Contact ELEVA to request a customized cost comparison between your LPG fleet and modern electric alternatives.

Advantages of an electric forklift

Electric forklifts deliver clean power, high efficiency, and mechanical reliability. Facilities handling food, pharmaceuticals, or enclosed storage gain significant operational advantages:

Zero emissions: Clean operation protects sensitive goods and maintains healthy air quality indoors or in cold storage.
Quiet operation: Minimal motor noise lowers operator fatigue and improves facility communication.
Reduced maintenance: Eliminating engine components like spark plugs, filters, and belts reduces routine servicing.
Scheduled recharging: Battery charging replaces cylinder handling, fitting naturally into shift rotations.

ELEVA offers electric models from represented brands like Hangcha, delivering dependable performance without combustion exhaust.

Rental from 10 to 46 tons: Heavy forklifts, reach stackers, terminal tractors, RTG/STS cranes, and Meclift equipment under contracts starting at six months, with maintenance, parts, and equipment replacement included.
Represented brands: We officially represent Genma, Meclift, Westwell, Hangcha, Jiangsu, and JMG. For operations familiar with brands like Toyota, Hyster, Kalmar, or Linde, we specify equivalent high-performance models from our represented manufacturers.

Technical maintenance, support, and fleet monitoring

Operational reliability is vital for logistics yards and cargo terminals. ELEVA provides comprehensive technical services from our Ciudad del Este branch, supporting river port corridors such as Asunción, Villeta, Encarnación, Concepción, and Alto Paraná, as well as industrial hubs nationwide.

Our support infrastructure includes:

Technical field support: Certified technicians deliver preventive servicing by hour meter, emergency repairs, and annual maintenance agreements using original components.
IntegraOne CMMS: Fleets are tracked using our proprietary CMMS platform, giving customers a digital portal covering hour meters, work orders, availability, and contract costs.
Consulting and training: We partner with clients to provide operator training for forklifts and reach stackers, alongside fleet sizing and import consulting.

Common mistakes when sourcing pre-owned equipment

Acquiring pre-owned machinery demands thorough technical diligence to avoid unbudgeted repairs and operational stoppages. Common pitfalls include:

Overlooking structural wear: Assessing only cosmetic appearance while missing mast play, hydraulic cylinder leaks, or chassis stress fractures.
Ignoring spare parts availability: Buying unsupported equipment that lacks local technical service or original replacement parts.
Operating without maintenance history: Sourcing machinery without validated hour meters or past inspection logs increases breakdown risks.
Misjudging capacity limits: Purchasing units too small for peak loads causes premature component failure. For requirements above 7 tons, long-term rental provides heavy equipment without capital lockup.
